There's no business like show business...

The end of February our stake had a roadshow competition. Both Seth and Dawes got to participate in our ward's production. I got to be the accompanist for the show and help with some choreography and costumes. It was a group effort to make it a success but it was a successful and fun show.

Just Wednesday the high school finished it's run of the musical "Oliver". Seth got to play the part of Oliver's grandfather. He was thrilled--a major speaking part without having to sing any solos. The whole cast did a fantastic job--right down to the English accents (check out the video below). A special thanks to those of you who were able to come and see him perform--it meant a lot.

Oliver

This really was a fantastic production--I know, I know I'm the mother and will always say that but other people thought so too. I thought you might enjoy hearing a little clip of the English accent that Seth worked hard to perfect.

Christensen winter wing-ding

I'm really slow getting this posted but here are a few photos of our President's Day weekend. We got to spend the whole weekend with Clendon's family and had a blast--the videos at the bottom are from this weekend too.

This is for the cousins living far from the snow and to show just how young Grandma is--notice she makes it right to the bottom of the hill.
Our Christensen family reunion always has a family olympics. This is part of the make your own rap competition--Fun!! Fun!! Fun!!
If I could bowl like this, I'm sure my score would be MUCH better. We had a lot of fun bowling as part of our winter wing-ding.

For those of you who have been to our house and seen the bathroom you know this project was way overdue but we put it off as the thought of no bathroom for our family of 7 was a little overwhelming. This did take longer than anticipated and was a lot of hard work but we think it was very worth the effort. We took the old tub out and stripped the old lath and plaster to make room for the new and improved bathroom--take a look! By the way---a HUGE thankyou to Grandma Christensen and the use of her bathroom over the course of our 3 week project.

Getting closer....the tub is in and the drywall up.

Just as we finished installing the last of the trim our septic system stopped working. We ended up having this backhoe come to dig into our drain field. We had a plugged drainfield pipe so after replacing some pipe and putting a load of rock out in our drain field we were set to have every aspect of our bathroom like new.

The Finished Product!
